Skills Your Dog Will Learn
Nikky offers a comprehensive dog training curriculum that empowers both you and your dog with essential skills for a harmonious life together.
1. Loose Lead Walking
Say goodbye to leash pulling and enjoy relaxing walks with your dog. Learn effective techniques to encourage loose lead walking, making dog walks an enjoyable experience for both of you.
2. Event Marker Learning
Understand the power of event markers as precise communication tools. Train your dog to associate these markers with rewards, facilitating quicker learning and communication.
3. Manners Training
Cultivate polite and well-mannered behavior in your dog. From greeting guests calmly – to waiting patiently, we’ll guide you through teaching your dog the manners that make interactions a breeze.
4. Attention Mastery
Gain your dog’s undivided attention even in distracting environments. Strengthen your bond and make training more effective by mastering techniques that capture and hold your dog’s focus.
5. Touch Cue
Enhance communication through touch cues. Teach your dog to respond to gentle touches, aiding in guiding their movements and behaviors.
6. Stay Cue
Instil a reliable “stay” command in your dog. Whether you need them to hold a position briefly or for an extended period, this cue is invaluable for control and safety.
7. Swap Cue
Safely manage items your dog may have picked up. Learn how to exchange objects for treats, reducing the risk of your dog ingesting something harmful.
8. Recall Training
Establish a strong recall, ensuring your dog comes back to you when called. This skill is vital for safety and allows your dog to enjoy more off-leash freedom.
9. Mat training
Create a designated space where your dog can relax on command. This cue is valuable for calming hyperactivity and providing your dog with a safe retreat.
